Think Giant.

Of the 6 UPVA awards Giant Brothers received last week, here’s the 1st place Date Video Production, courtesy of the Veronica & Scott wedding. I love doing date films, they’re one of my most favorite things to film. To just see a couple relaxing and having fun, and being able to capture that is great. So, enjoy!

This is an award I was really excited to get.  I put a lot of effort into making my new wedding demo each year, and it can be really hard because I have such great clients to show off.  So here’s the demo from last year, that recently earned an award in our UPVA Creative Excellence Competition.  (Don’t forget to see our NEW demo from this year here)

We had a great time last night at the 8th annual UPVA Creative Excellence Awards.  With such great talent in this state, we feel honored to have won 6 awards.  We’ll be posting one award winning video each day, so be sure to check back to see all of them.  Here’s the 2nd place winner in the Bride and Groom Production, starring the amazing Whitney and Steve Olsen!

We are so grateful and honored to win an International Award for Post-Ceremony Production at this year’s WEVA’s Creative Excellence Awards. This association is for wedding and event videographers from around the world, so to have won two of these awards (the first was a Gold Award in 2006) with such massive talent out there is amazing. Thanks so much to Kylee and Jason, the real stars of this winning film!

Last night we held our 7th annual UPVA Creative Excellence Awards at the Megaplex 20 in South Jordan.  It was a really fun night, and I’m proud to bring home 4 awards.  Here’s the winners:

Last night was the 5th annual UPVA (Utah Professional Videographers Association ) Creative Excellence Awards Banquet. Me and my fellow videographers have been looking forward to this night for a long time. We tried something really cool and new this year for the judging. We had professional videographers from around the country, judge our videos online, It was alot of work creating the website, but it worked out really smooth.

It was held at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and the food was awesome. Giant Brothers was happy to recieve 2 more UPVA Creative Excellence Awards, (One for our Wedding Demo, and one for an awesome reception we did last year)  as well as some special recognition for our help on the Board of Directors. It was great to have my beautiful wife DeAnn there, and it was a fun night for all.

The 6th Annual UPVA 2007 awards are coming up soon as well, and we are excited to work with the awesome UPVA Board again, to put together another great competition and awards night.

Last Year we were suprised to win a Gold Creative Excellence Award from WEVA International, at the 16th Annual WEVA EXPO in Las Vegas. It really was a great and shocking moment as my wife and I sat there and heard our name called in the crowded banquet room. There was no way we could have done it without the wonderful couple Sarah and Jason, that allowed us to be part of their special day. We later found out that it was the first LDS Temple Wedding Video to win such an award and the first Utah company as well to receive Gold.

Now we are getting ready to head out to Vegas again for another wonderful expo, and this time we will have alot more Utah Videographer friends with us. I have alwayed been impressed by the amazing talent of fellow UPVA members in Utah and I think Utah is ready to show the world the kind of talent and skill we have as wedding videographers. It’s going to be a great year, and we will see if lightning can strike twice and we can pick up another award this year, or better yet, if all my talented Utah videographer friends can make a mark at WEVA as well.

We are proud to announce our first WEVA International * Creative Excellence Award For Wedding Video. It was for Sarah & Jason Morrow’s beautiful Salt Lake Temple Wedding Film created last April. We received the top Gold Award for Post-Ceremony Production.

We would like to thank Sarah & Jason for letting us capture this important moment in their lives, and also thank our local video association UPVA for their support and inspiration.
